When anyone, even me, publishes your book they are the publisher of record and with any other company that could affect your control of the book and related files. When I publish your book, you are the publisher and always maintain full control of your book, all the book files, full copyright, and all royalties.

Creating An Account: Step One in publishing your book with my publishing plan is for you to open a printing and distribution account to handle and sell your book. I can either assist you to set this up or handle the entire task for you. Once you have this account I will use it to upload your book which I will format. This will include the entire interior and the cover for your book. Once your book is uploaded and published on your account you will control all aspects of your arrangement and collect all royalties each month.

Independent Publisher - To publish successfully it’s critical to maintain all rights to your book and control the printing and distribution. My publishing plan based on using your own printing and distribution account protects your interest. During the publishing process I work through your account to publish and distribute your book worldwide. After publishing I can turn this over to you or manage all aspects with monthly reports and payment of royalties.

ISBN - The ISBN number can be a problem when an author doesn’t own it. Accepting a free ISBN from any company without the right to move it could be a problem if you wish to move to a different printer. With my publishing plan I assign an ISBN to your book and give you full rights to move it to any printer you choose.

Formatting - I format your book for print and digital publishing and you keep all files for future use in anyway you choose. You own your book completely. I upload the files for publishing both print and digital versions. During this process I provide you a copy that is complete and ready to publish so you can check and make any final corrections before approving for publishing and worldwide distribution.

The Cover - I create a standard attention-grabbing cover for the print version and the digital version of your book. I provide you several choices for the final cover. If you would like specialized graphics for your cover I have artists who can create beautiful covers for an additional fee.

Printer/Worldwide Distributor/Media Kit Site - Your book will be distributed worldwide by by the company you choose for your account. For this fulfillment service the company charges a commission ranging from 40% to 60% on all book sales to your readers but you can purchase books at anytime for just the cost of printing and sell the books yourself without paying the commission. I can set that up for you.

You will receive up to three copies to check before publishing. The copies are a complete book. Once you approve the copy, the book is published. You can order books at the wholesale price for book signings or to sell yourself in any quantity with no commission. You are never obligated to purchase books.

Copyright - The U.S. Copyright Office states that “your work is under copyright protection the moment it is created and fixed in a tangible form that is perceptible either directly or with the aid of a machine or device.” Basically this means that once you’ve included the copyright notice in your book and publish it, it is protected. To learn more about Copyright, check out the copyright page of this site and I provide a pdf booklet with complete information and instructions for copyright registration.

Manuscript to Worldwide Distribution to Individuals and Bookstores - A complete publishing service where I do all the work and you own all rights, files, and royalties. My service includes assisting you to create a publishing account if you don’t already have one and worldwide distribution of your book as a paperback and Kindle. For a small addition fee you can also have a hardcover edition. I also have additional services available but there is no obligation to purchase anything else for this service.

Promotion - Promoting your book is your responsibility and I suggest promoting on Goodreads, Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube and Twitter using your own accounts . I will list your book on my bookstore website and I also have book promotion contractors available at additional cost.

The price above includes the complete service except for a hardcover version of your book. Creating a hardcover version is an additional $200 plus sales tax added to the standard complete service price of $1,297.00.

Website Services - To increase your potential for sales, I can create a website for you and your book for a small additional fee. This site is a sales landing page with complete details about the book and a buy link. This website will use all or part of the book name as a subdomain of one of my websites and includes hosting for a full year. Additional website hosting and services are available.
